Well… it’s kinda unfair to ask someone why they’re obsessed about something cos it’ll just make them sound like a freak so let me just say I’m not obsessed. I’m just “invested”, time-wise lol :P
It took a lot of persuasion actually to even get me to listen to kpop… but I guess it started with my shallowness of thinking that Tiffany from SNSD is super hot. But then now I genuinely like them because it’s something different. I listen to foreign music to get to know their culture, and SNSD taught me a bit about Korean culture.. . For example, I used to listen to Puffy Ami Yumi to know a bit more about Japanese “kawaii” and rock culture. And SNSD’s the same, they taught me about the whole aegyo and manufactured bands in Korea.
It’s not like I don’t like other bands, it’s just that I’ve really spent time to get to know SNSD and I’m kinda stuck. I guess it all boils down to the simple fact that they’re just really humble and funny. I like that they make fun of themselves. I like that they don’t make performing sounds perfect. Most artists boast about how they wouldn’t want anything different, but they’re just really honest. They make fun of each other and it’s cute. They make fun about how much they hate to do the “aegyo” thing (being cute). I like that they’re so chilled out and they’re brutally honest about the mistakes they’ve made on stage or whilst recording. I like that they don’t lie about how they lip-synch sometimes. I like how happy they are with each other, and I like how in their music videos, they don’t look nearly as natural as they would when they do interviews or radio shows. It’s weird cos everyone says they’re fake but the only reason why I like them is because they’re so freaking normal it’s refreshing.
AnimateurTHIS is why people commit suicide. You think that girls already have enough insecurities right?
I didn’t even know the girl that was getting picked on. But I stood up for her. She then added me on facebook and we talked for a bit. She then went on to tell me how she has attempted suicide on several occasions, cuts, has been in and out of a mental hospital, been raped, and overall has had a really hard life. The girls picking on her have no idea what she has been through. It would amaze you how much ONE person can make a difference. Just me standing up for her, changed her perspective on a lot of things. I gave her my number to call me at anytime. She is actually a really cool kid, but people haven’t given her a chance. This has honestly pissed me off, how people think they can just do this.
Reblog if you are against this kind of stuff.
This sort of stuff is absolutely infuriating. The fact that anybody at ALL thinks that they have the right to judge someone else boggles my mind, let alone when people are become this harsh and try to attack others. It’s disgusting. No one is more superior than anyone else. However, trying to bring others down is a sure-fire way to make yourself look more like a moronic asshole than whoever you’re against.
JeuHeartwarming Tearjerker of the Day: Alexis’s dad surprises her at school after returning home from Afghanistan.
NO I AM NOT CRYING okay i am shut up.
[welcomehome.]
Two things:
- If this doesn’t bring a tear to your eye then there’s a pretty good chance that you have a dying, black heart.
- Mark My Words: The kid who blurts out incredulously “SHE’S CRYING?” will wind up as a Fox News morning host one day.
